Aaron Bain Racing is delighted to announce the appointment of Will O’Malley as Bloodstock
Manager of its Thoroughbred operation.

Fresh from a unique metropolitan thoroughbred double and pacing winner last Saturday, Aaron Bain
the principal of ABR identified O’Malley as someone who is building an impressive record in the
bloodstock industry and he was not only a timely, but a popular addition to its growing operation.

“Through his background with stable foreman Ned Taylor (having spent 7 years with Ciaron Maher &
David Eustace stable prior to joining ABR), Will has been assisting the growth of ABR. The time is now
right to cement that association,” Bain said.

“Will was instrumental in our first metropolitan double at Gawler on Saturday, having sourced both
Wonderwomen and Metro Legend.

“He has been the mastermind behind much of our success with tried horses, including recent winner
Tan Tat Beau, to further include Belmont Avenue who we are excited to see debut soon, along with
our most recent purchase Footlights.

Will O’Malley has been an important asset in enabling ABR to have an impressive winning strike rate
this season of 20.8% in the Thoroughbreds, which is currently the third highest strike rate of the top
20 trainers in the state.

With a focus on growing our Thoroughbred operation side of the business in 2023, ABR is pleased to
make this appointment effective immediately and start the year with great momentum.

“Will has proven to be a wonderful asset to our team, which will only continue to prosper now with
the formalization of our relationship. He will be working closely with Ned and myself, as we select
both tried horses and yearlings over the coming sales season which in turn will supply us with the
foundation of our future racetrack talent for ABR.”

O’Malley said he was excited about taking up his role with Aaron Bain Racing.

“My passion has always been racing,” O’Malley said.

“My father and grandfather were both bookmakers and racing has always been in my blood.

“I want to build my profile in the bloodstock industry and joining such a progressive business as ABR,
I believe, is a step in the right direction.

“Aaron has done a fantastic job since taking out his licence and is hungry for success and I am
excited to join the team, working closely with himself and Ned.

“We will be seeking to purchase five or six yearlings across Adelaide and Melbourne sales and go
through a process to secure those horses on our wish list.

“I have had fortune finding tried horses in online sales and this will remain part of our strategy
moving forward as we develop the brand, continuing to seek the next value purchase.
“It is an exciting time to be riding the wave of success with Aaron”.
