Aaron Bain Racing&rsquo;s quartet of three-year-old pacing fillies continued their dominance at Melton on Saturday, and the best result is they all have celebrated a feature win.
The victory by KISS in the Group 2 $100,000 Nutrien Equine Breeders Crown completed a well-deserved winning quadrella.
COASTAL BAY kicked off with the Victoria Oaks featuring an ABR trifecta, WATERFRONT won the Tasmanian Oaks, SHOWSOMEJOY was successful in the South Australian Oaks, now KISS has the Breeders Crown.
On Monday, former Tasmanian pacer STALEY, driven by Wayne Hill, used the sprint lane to win the Jojubi Saddlery Pace (1800m) at Globe Derby Park.
While ABR celebrates wins, our attention now moves to Sportsbet finals day at Morphettville on Saturday where we are likely to have two runners &ndash; more news in the weekend preview.
On Wednesday, trainers Aaron Bain &amp; Ned Taylor will be taking a team of three to Balaklava, all to be ridden by star jockey Manoel Nunes.
BELLEZZE kicks off the day in race two, the Clare Valley Toyota Fillies &amp; Mares Maiden (1200m) at 1.55pm SA time.
The daughter of Artie Schiller has drawn barrier seven in a field of 12.
She ran on fairly on debut and should be an improver on Wednesday.
WARM BREEZE lines up in race three, the Sportsbet Nobody Does It Easier Colts &amp; Geldings Maiden (1200m) at 2.30pm SA time.
The ex-New Zealander will jump from barrier three in a field of 13.
He has trialled nicely at Balaklava late last month and ABR would expect him to show up on Wednesday.
ABR&rsquo;s day is done with SPEAKEASY in race four, the BTR Excavations Benchmark 56 Handicap (1600m) at 3.05pm SA time.
SPEAKEASY will jump from gate one in a field of nine.
The mare had little luck at this track and trip at her last run and she should prove verry competitive.

Another weekend and more chances for Aaron Bain Racing to collect black type wins.
Following SHOWSOMEJOY&rsquo;s win in the South Australian Oaks at Globe Derby Park last Saturday, ABR will be a major player in feature races on both sides of the Tasman this weekend.
MIGHTY SAPPHIRE was a sensational victor at Morphettville Parks on Saturday, this week ABR will be heading to the same track with just the one runner hoping to add another city winner.
New Zealand harness racing this year added a feature $500,000 Listed slot race, the Hill, Lee &amp; Scott The Velocity (1980m) for three-year-olds, for the final day of their Cup week meetings at Addington on Friday.
ABR and our partners Summit Bloodstock purchased a slot and settled on our Group 1 Victoria Oaks winner COASTAL BABE as our runner and with a preferential draw on sex, as the only filly, she came up with gate one.
The Velocity will be run at 4.06pm SA time with regular NZ reinsman Matthew White to have the sit.
COASTAL BABE opened at $12 with the favourite, the outstanding colt, Chase A Dream the favourite at $2.50. &nbsp;&nbsp;
Trainers Aaron Bain &amp; Ned Taylor take THERMODYNAMIC to Morphettville Parks on Saturday to contest race seven, the Sportsbet Fast Form Handicap (1550m) at 4.47pm SA time.
THERMODYNAMIC has drawn gate one in a field of 11 with Manoel Nunes to ride.
After a brilliant first up win, the five-year-old had not the best of luck at his next run and expect a better effort on Saturday.
The TAB thinks so as THERMODYNAMIC has been installed a $3.30 favourite backed in from an early quote of $5 to $3.70 before firming again.
On Saturday evening, at Globe Derby Park, trainer Aaron Bain heads along with three runners.
PAY ME MORTGAGE lines up in race three, the Kevin &amp; Kay Seymour Pace Final (1800m) coming from gate nine, two on the second row at 7.04pm SA time.

LADY LA SALLE comes from gate six in race six, the Equus Veterinary Services Pace (1800m) at 8.51pm SA time.
Wayne Hill will drive the mare who had excuses for her last start failure. The draw is no help but expect a much better performance on Saturday.
The in-form LA MOTH completes ABR&rsquo;s night in race eight, the WD &amp; SJ Harbison Pace (1800m) at 10.03pm SA time.
The mare will be going for her fourth straight win with Wayne Hill in the sulky coming from barrier nine, gate two on the second row and should get a good run through early.

CAPTAIN PERFECT has qualified for the Group 2 $100,000 IRT Breeders Crown Final (2240m) for two-year-old colts &amp; geldings at 7.35pm SA time.
Trained by Emma Stewart and to be driven by Connor Clarke, he has drawn barrier four in a field of 13 with one emergency.
&nbsp;The TAB has CAPTAIN PERFECT at $41 with the favourite Hesitate at $3.
Better fancied for ABR are WATERFRONT and KISS in the Group 2 $100,000 Nutrien Equine Breeders Crown Final (2240m) for three-year-old fillies at 8.44pm SA time.
WATERFRONT has drawn gate two with Mark Pitt to drive while KISS has come up with the outside of the front in seven with James Herbertson in the sulky.
KISS was good enough to run down WATERFRONT in the semi-final, but the draw certainly gives them both strong chances on Saturday.
The TAB has KISS installed as the red-hot $1.75 favourite with WATERFRONT second elect at $2.30 and they dominate the betting. Let&rsquo;s the market assessors are right.

MIGHTY SAPPHIRE unleashed a powerful sprint to score a comfortable victory at Morphettville Parks.
Strong in the market a $3.60, MIGHTY SAPPHIRE extended strongly over the final 200 metres to win the Sportsbet Set A Deposit Limit Benchmark 64 Handicap (1400m).
Ridden by Manoel Nunes, who rode his first winner for ABR on Thursday, the five-year-old won by two lengths from Never Surrender ($9.50) with Chakado ($2.90 fav) a short half head away third.

After her string of seconds SHEZA MANIPULATOR will be looking for a win in race two, the Spillman Air Pace (2050m) at 6.54pm SA time carrying the six saddlecloth and Bernadette Page to drive.
Trainer Aaron Bain suggests PAY ME MORTGAGE will back up after his first up third at Globe Derby Park on Saturday. At Pirie he has drawn gate four in race three the Big Chief Hire Pace (1609m), heat four, at 7.28pm SA time, again with Bernadette Page to drive.
STALEY, an addition to the SA stable from Tasmania, steps out in race four, the Midstate Hardware Pace (1609m), also coming from barrier four and Bernadette Page to drive. Also in race four is another ex-Tasmanian LORD VERDE which has drawn gate seven with Danielle Hill in the sulky.
ABR&rsquo;s night concludes in race five the Major Secret @ Allenby Lodge Stud Pace (2050m) at 8.36pm with BETTER BROTHER coming from gate four and Bernadette Page in the sulky.
ABR will be taking one runner to Murray Bridge on Wednesday.
Last start winner ESKY kicks off the day for trainers Aaron Bain &amp; Ned Taylor in race five, the Vinidex &amp; Philmac NMWLY Handicap, benchmark 62 (1800m) at 3.40pm SA time.
The race is a heat of the Sportsbet Restricted Series.
ESKY has drawn the extreme outside draw of 13 and will be ridden by Jason Holder.
Holder gave him a peach of a ride to win at Gawler on October 25 and the big track at Murray Bridge should suit his run-on style.
SPEAKEASY was an acceptor in race seven, the Orange Pumps Rating 0-56 Handicap (1600m) but the trainers opted to scratch after drawing wide.
She will now be aimed at a race at Balaklava next week.

Weekend Race Review

Mighty Sapphire unleashed a powerful sprint to score a comfortable victory at Morphettville Parks on Saturday, November 9.
Strong in the market a $3.60, Mighty Sapphire extended strongly over the final 200 metres to win the Sportsbet Set A Deposit Limit Benchmark 64 Handicap (1400m).
Ridden by Manoel Nunes, who rode his first winner for ABR on Thursday, the five-year-old won by two lengths from Never Surrender ($9.50) with Chakado ($2.90 fav) a short half head away third.
From his wide draw of nine, Nunes was happy to get the gelding into a rhythm but had to settle wide just behind midfield.
From the 600 metres, the runner on Mighty Sapphire&rsquo;s inside tried to push him wider but Nunes&rsquo; strength was crucial in holding his ground.
Once balanced in the home straight, he accelerated in brilliant fashion to round up the leaders and win easily.
Trainer Aaron Bain said it had been a great win by Mighty Sapphire.
&ldquo;It was a fitting reward for patience with the horse from the ownership group,&rdquo; Bain said.
&ldquo;He was very well ridden today by Manoel Nunes.
&ldquo;There was a bit or argy-bargy going on back in the field and he had to hold his spot.
&ldquo;On the point of the turn they tried to come out right underneath him but he weas able to hold his line around the bend.
&ldquo;The horse did as good job as he was wide for a long way.
&ldquo;He took a while to wind up but let down really well in the straight.
&ldquo;Mighty Sapphire relished the chance to step out to 1400 metres today.
&ldquo;Even when he went past them I think he had a gear or two left.
&ldquo;He won quite convincingly in the end, quite soft.&rdquo;
Bain said there were a number of options ahead, but he was confident there were more wins in store.
&nbsp;Winning jockey Manoel Nunes was impressed by Mighty Sapphire&rsquo;s win.
&ldquo;It was a good win,&rdquo; Nunes said.
&ldquo;I was four or five deep but with some cover.
&ldquo;The horse on my inside was trying to push me out of the way so I had to keep my horse&rsquo;s position.
&ldquo;He was very brave and won quite comfortably.&rdquo;

Mighty Sapphire

The filly is majority owned in South Australia and post-race Aaron Bain, director of Aaron Bain Racing, revealed the filly would be retired and sent to stud.
&ldquo;The reality is that her future is in the breeding barn and not on the racetrack,&rdquo; Bain said.
&ldquo;She retires as a Group One winner of the Vicbred Series, a Listed winner of the SA Oaks and third-placed in the Group One Victoria Oaks and has an outstanding pedigree.
&ldquo;It makes economic sense to have her producing foals rather than racing around in mares&rsquo; grade, even though they have black type appeal.&rdquo;
Showsomejoy was purchased from New Zealand by Aaron Bain Racing in partnership with Summit Bloodstock after just one unplaced run.
She retires with seven wins, two seconds and a third from 11 starts collecting $134,996 in stakes.
Showsomejoy drew eight, barrier one on the second row, and Pullicino trailed through early on the back of Elusive which led from her draw of one.
Pullicino took the opportunity to come off the inside and sit outside the leader going into the back straight as drivers looked for suitable positions.
Showsomejoy really applied the pressure from the 800-metre mark and the leaders reeled off a 27.8 second third quarter coming home in 29.6 seconds for an overall mile rate of 1:56.4.
The front pair came together several times but over the final 100 metres, the strength and toughness of Showsomejoy came to the fore and she drew clear to win well.

Aaron Bain Racing celebrated Tuesday&rsquo;s Melbourne Cup win by Knight&rsquo;s Choice through winning jockey Robbie Dolan. Just under a year ago, Dolan was the special guest at the ABR Gala Dinner at the Adelaide Convention Centre. The affable Irishman sung his way into our hearts and pockets courtesy of a Sunshine Coast winner, and many of the ABR supporters have followed him since and we are sure a few probably have had a dollar or two on him on Tuesday. ABR celebrated Melbourne Cup day with our own winner at Morphettville, SHOOTOOSE. Ridden by Manoel Nunes, SHOOTOOSE arrived late to take out the Sportsbet Same Race Multi Handicap (1200m). The race was a heat of the Sportsbet Riziz Series and now qualifies him for a start in the $105,000 final over 1200 metres at Morphettville on Saturday, November 23. Now, it is on to Saturday where ABR will have five runners at Morphettville Parks. RUBAMOS returns to racing in race two, the SkyCity Handicap (1250m), at 12.57pm SA time. Jason Holder will ride, jumping from the outside gate in a field of seven. The seven-year-old has not raced since June when he finished down the line in the Gold Topaz but did win a trial at Balaklava over 1050m and has won first up three times from seven preparations. After opening at $9, RUBAMOS has drifted to $11 with the favourite Delightful Shecky at $3. MYRTLE CREEK is the next runner for trainers Aaron Bain &amp;amp; Ned Taylor in race three, the Sportsbet Fast Form Handicap (1400m) at 1.29pm SA time. Manoel Nunes will ride coming from gate eight in a field of 10. MYRTLE CREEK has had two runs back from a spell and is now ready to improve. There was early support for MYRTLE CREEK which firmed from $41 into $17 with Spirit Of Camelot the favourite at $2.70. NULLIFY is in good form and steps out in race five, the Peter Elberg Funerals Handicap (1550m) at 2.52pm SA time. The on-pace runner will have Ben Price in the saddle jumping from barrier six in a field of 12. NULLIFY was an excellent winner around the Parks circuit two starts back before leading and being attacked at his last run. He will be competitive again. The TAB market framers believe this is an open race but that NULLIFY has a strong chance and opened her a $5 favourite. BOOMSONG contests race eight, the Dominant Handicap (1250m) at 4.52pm SA time. No luck the draw, barrier 14 in a field of 14 which includes two emergencies so whatever the scratchings, he will start from the extreme outside. Jason Holder has been booked to ride. The six-year-old was not disgraced when resuming at Balaklava and can definitely improve but the draw does not help. The TAB give him little chance and he has been a drifter from $21 to $34. ABR&rsquo;s day rounds out with MIGHTY SAPPHIRE in race nine, the Sportsbet Set A Deposit Limit Handicap (1400m). Manoel Nunes will ride, but again another wide draw of 11 in a field of 17 with three emergencies. MIGHTY SAPPHIRE did not have the best of runs when fifth at Morphettville at his last run and it will be interesting to see him have his first run at 1400m. There was strong early support for MIGHTY SAPPHIRE, and he was backed from $6 into $3.70 before easing to $3.90 with the favourite Chakado at $3. ABR&rsquo;s attention then heads to Globe Derby Park. AMERICAN BEAUTY kicks off the night coming from gate seven in race three, the Ladbrokes Communities Pace (2230m) with Wayne Hill in the sulky at 7.26pm SA time. ABR then will seek another Oaks win in the Listed Ladbrokes South Australian Pacing Oaks (1800m) with two runners at 9.08pm SA time. Victoria Oaks placegetter SHOWSOMEJOY comes across for trainer Emma Stewart and has drawn seven with Gaita Pullicino in the sulky while trainer Aaron Bain will gear up SHEZAMAJORSTAR with the number 10 saddlecloth and Wayne Hill to drive. With Coastal Babe&rsquo;s Victoria Oaks and WATERFRONT&rsquo;S Tasmanian Oaks in the trophy cabinet, ABR is looking for the treble on Saturday. Our night concludes with PAY ME MORTGAGE coming from gate two in race nine, the What The Hill Ca @ Woodlands Stud Pace (1800m) at 10.50pm SA time. Friday at Melton Harness is a big night with the heats of the feature Breeders Crown series at ABR will be well represented. Our team will be striving to make the $100,000 finals at Melton on Saturday, November 16. ABR&rsquo;s first runner will be the newcomer CAPTAIN PERFECT in heat two of the IRT Breeders Crown for two-year-old colts &amp; geldings, race three at b6.32pm SA time. After doing his early work with the ABR team in Gawler, he is now with trainer Emma Stewart and will be driven by Connor Clarke coming from barrier one. KISS and WATERFRONT will represent ABR in heat one of the Nutrien Equine Breeders Crown for three-year-old fillies, race six at 7.58pm SA time. The Emma Stewart-trained pair have drawn gates one and two with James Herbertson to drive KISS from the inside draw with Mark Pitt in the sulky of the last-start Tasmanian Oaks winner WATERFRONT.

Trainers Aaron Bain &amp; Ned Taylor celebrated 2024 Melbourne Cup day with a victory by Shootoose at Morphettville on Tuesday, November 5. Despite a fire alarm clearing the grandstand mid-afternoon, then a burst of lightning putting the last four races back by 40 minutes, Shootoose took the incidents in his stride arriving late to take out the Sportsbet Same Race Multi Handicap (1200m). The race was a heat of the Sportsbet Riziz Series and now qualifies him for a start in the $105,000 final over 1200 metres at Morphettville on Saturday, November 23. Ridden by star jockey Manoel Nunes, Shootoose ($9.50) scored a head win over Costless ($9) with Articulating ($18) a neck away third. The victory gave the jockey his first win for Aaron Bain Racing. The gelding jumped nicely from gate two and Nunes was able to settle him midfield, one off the fence, behind the group of horses vying for forward positions. With a good tempo the field spread out and Shootoose came to the outside in clear ground with 500 metres to travel. Under Nunes&rsquo; urgings, the six-year-old finished best to grab a virtual last-stride win. Trainer Aaron Bain said Shootoose&rsquo;s win was a tick of approval for the team&rsquo;s current training operation. &ldquo;We love Angaston Park and Shootoose did 10 good weeks to get his fitness level up on the Angaston hill before we took him to our Gawler stables for two weeks of work there,&rdquo; Bain said. &ldquo;Ned and I are finding the opportunity to mix and match is helping a number of our horses and today&rsquo;s result was an excellent example. &ldquo;I have to thank Jason Holder for his input. &ldquo;He rode Shootoose in his last piece of fast work last Thursday and said the horse would be well suited today, but we had already made our jockey bookings and Manoel was in the saddle. &ldquo;Credit to Manoel, he rode the horse perfectly. He is a strong rider who got the best out of him. &ldquo;He also has given us two great rides on Midnight Mass for unlucky seconds in the Gawler Cup, then today again in the John Letts Cup so it was only a matter of time before he carried our colours to victory. &ldquo;The Riziz final will be Shootoose&rsquo;s next run and on today&rsquo;s showing he has to be competitive.&rdquo;

Talented three-year-old Dubai Focus broke through for his debut win on Gawler Cup day, Friday, October 25. Trained by Aaron Bain and Ned Taylor, Dubai Focus led throughout in the Kingsford Hotel Maiden (1500m) and cruised home 2-3/4 lengths clear of the opposition. Jockey Jason Holder had the gelding, the well backed $1.60 favourite, away quickly to assume control. Once in front he rated Dubai Focus perfectly and dashed away turning for home quickly grabbing a winning break. Stirrup Cup ($21) ran on well late to take second, two lengths in front of Commissions ($5). Trainer Aaron Bain said Dubai Focus had shown ability from the time he had gone into training. &ldquo;While he was working well, he was new to racing so after two runs we sent him for a break,&rdquo; Bain said. &ldquo;This time in he is showing in his races what he displays on the track. &ldquo;His first run back was a beauty, but the winner just outsprinted him over 1100 metres. &ldquo;Ned and I had no hesitation stepping him up to 1500 metres today and I&rsquo;m sure he can get even further. &ldquo;He is our Pride Of Jenni. By the same sire Pride Of Dubai, we believe he will be at his best bowling along in front like that great mare and adopting a catch me if you can tactic.&rdquo; Winning jockey Jason Holder said Dubai Focus was in good form. &ldquo;Last start was good, and he brought it again today,&rdquo; Holder said. &ldquo;He trialled really good prior as well. &ldquo;He jumped out well and travelled good. &ldquo;I thought he hit a bit of a flat spot halfway down the straight and I thought they were going to come at me quick. &ldquo;To his credit, I gave him a reminder and to his credit he just kept going. &ldquo;As soon as he switched on I knew they were not going to beat me. &ldquo;A good training effort by Ned and Aaron.&rdquo;

Dubai Focus

Top South Australian jockey Jason Holder showed why he is at the peak of his profession with an outstanding ride to land Esky a winner on Gawler Cup day, Friday, October 25. Esky landed some good bets in winning first up for trainers Aaron Bain and Ned Taylor in the Magain Fielke Real Estate Gawler Benchmark 56 Handicap (1700m). The win brought up a double for the trainers and Holder as they had combined earlier in the day with Dubai Focus. After opening at $11, Esky firmed to $5.50, then was backed in again eventually starting at $.40. The five-year-old began fairly and Holder allowed him to get in a rhythm back at the tail of the field before staying inside and railing through to midfield. Holder came away from the inside at the 600-metre mark and angled him to the outside turning for home. Esky extended quickly to grab the lead and fought on well to score by a half-length from Starts Now ($8.50) with Eventually ($3.10 fav), a long neck away third. Bain said Esky had shown he was quite simply a stayer. &ldquo;Ned and I gave him plenty of work to ensure he was ready to tackle the 1700 metres today,&rdquo; Bain said. &ldquo;Jason rode him superbly saving him for the one run and he was good enough to win. &ldquo;Esky has now won two races for us, and I think he can pick up a few more over middle distances.&rdquo; Winning jockey Jason Holder said Esky had impressed with his victory. &ldquo;That was a good training performance by Aaron and Ned to have him first up over 1700 metres,&rdquo; Holder said. &ldquo;He travelled good in the run back on the fence. &ldquo;He always felt like he was going okay, the speed was on, and he loved that. &ldquo;I presented him out and he did the rest. &ldquo;Esky had had enough on the line, but he held them off. &ldquo;Very good first up run.&rdquo;

Kristy will be ABR&rsquo;s Owner Engagement &amp; Experience manager as well helping with the sales and syndication.

Edwards was born and raised in Victoria but always has had an interest in horse racing.
&ldquo;My childhood memories were sitting with my grandmother each Saturday watching the races.
&ldquo;Each Caulfield Cup day we would have a big family function at the races to enjoy the on-course atmosphere.
&ldquo;My husband and I branched into ownership and purchased a 10 percent share in a $17,000 horse called Arena Rock, she won five races, and we were hooked.
&ldquo;She won a race at Moonee Valley at 20/1 when the trainer said she had been working well, then backed up a week later at Flemington scoring at 8/1.
&ldquo;A girlfriend and myself started syndication with a company Imagine Racing which had six horses with six different trainers, and it was a perfect way to learn what owners want for the best experience.&rdquo;
The Edwards family moved to Angaston in August last year, settling on a six-acre vineyard.

The benefits of the Angaston Park training complex were well demonstrated by talented mare Nullify at the Morphettville Parks twilight meeting on Friday, October 11. Nullify, trained by the partnership of Aaron Bain and Ned Taylor, led throughout in the Sportsbet Fast Form Handicap (1550m) but showed great acceleration when asked for an effort in the home straight. The six-year-old mare, an $8 chance, ridden by Ben Price, scored easily by 2-1/2 lengths from Red Roof ($9) with Whatsanamegeorge ($6.50), three-quarters of a length away third. She has now won two races with as many placings from just eight starts since being purchased by Aaron Bain Racing. Trainer Aaron Bain said Nullify had run up to her trackwork at Angaston Park. &ldquo;She is a lovely mare and wasn&rsquo;t an expensive purchase off Inglis,&rdquo; Bain said. &ldquo;She had a good first preparation for us then we tipped her out with a view of heading back to Angaston. &ldquo;This time in Nullify has been outstanding and her work has been brilliant there. &ldquo;We love her, she is very straight forward at home, and we love to have her around. &ldquo;She will be back at Angaston tomorrow and set for her next run. &ldquo;Nullify always builds through a preparation &ndash; second, third and fourth up she always gets better. &ldquo;She was great first up, just well short of her best trip, she was great today second up at 1550 (metres).&rdquo; Bain said jockey Ben Price was doing the hard yards for Aaron Bain Racing. &ldquo;He was up at Angaston Park, first light, daybreak, at 6 o&rsquo;clock this morning doing gallops and getting the next winner or two ready. &ldquo;It was a great ride early today. &ldquo;He assessed the race perfectly that they were going to go a bit slow, put himself in front then catch me if you can. &ldquo;Ben got great sectionals around the bend and skipped clear. &ldquo;The Angaston Park hill kicked in at the 400 and she went to another gear.&rdquo; Winning jockey Ben Price was confident there were more wins in store for Nullify. &ldquo;She had a nice run in front today,&rdquo; Price said. &ldquo;I let her roll and get into a comfortable rhythm. &ldquo;Halfway down the straight she had her ears pricked and I felt like she was only going 75 percent. &ldquo;She pulled up great and would not blow a candle out. &ldquo;There are definitely more wins this time around.&rdquo;

Nullify

Imported galloper Thermodynamic gave trainers Aaron Bain and Ned Taylor a winning double at the Morphettville Parks twilight meeting on Friday, October 11. Given a perfect run by jockey Jason Holder, Thermodynamic raced away in the home straight to win the Sportsbet Handicap (1400m) by 2-3/4 lengths to add to the victory of Nullify earlier in the day for the trainers. Bred in Ireland and previously trained by the Hawkes partnership, then Chris Waller, the five-year-old has had two wins and two seconds from just five runs for Bain and Taylor. Thermodynamic ($5.50) sat fourth early off a good tempo before dashing away to win easily from Falaise ($7) with Next Dimension ($20), a length away third, Trainer Aaron Bain said Thermodynamic had been a good purchase for Aaron Bain Racing. &ldquo;He just put in one shocker at the end of last preparation, and we turned him out,&rdquo; Bain said. &ldquo;He was good today and with two wins and two seconds he has been a good horse for us. &ldquo;We probably made a bit of a mistake at the end of last preparation taking the blinkers off. &ldquo;We turned him out knowing we were going to Angaston Park and bring him back fresh, thinking he will get 2000 metres this time in. &ldquo;Today we thought the 1400 metres might be a bit sharp but told &lsquo;Stubby&rsquo; to ride him like the best horse in the race and be confident. &ldquo;Thermodynamic is lightly raced and got plenty ahead of him, and in his favour, the distance racing here in Adelaide have smaller fields and can drop away so there are plenty of options. &ldquo;The Angaston Park hill has done him wonders.&rdquo; Winning jockey Jason Holder said Thermodynamic had sprinted very well. &ldquo;He was good, we thought he would run well, he was well placed,&rdquo; Holder said. &ldquo;He presented himself lovely, but I thought I might have got there a bit soon. &ldquo;I just didn&rsquo;t want to get there too early, and if something come past me, I would have been dirty on myself. &ldquo;But he presented himself nice and was good to the line. &ldquo;I thought his trial was quite good the other day, I rode as horse behind him, but thought he was stronger than mine, so I rode him confidently today. &ldquo;I think he will benefit from the run but now has to take the next step and go a grade higher.
