A precocious, early-running type, purchased from the 2025 Gold Coast Magic Millions Yearling Sales, by a Group winning son of So You Think in D’Argento.

D’Argento makes great appeal as one of the very finest sons of So You Think, a hugely successful sire-son of High Chaparral from the peerless Sadler’s Wells sireline. We have already had success with the progeny of So You Think, with our yearling graduate Shady Thinker having an exciting debut this year.  Throw into the mix the prodigious influence of his maternal great grandsire Kenmare, and D’Argento provides breeders with a blend of bloodlines that have met with profound success over numerous decades.

Our Bloodstock team really backed the analysis, being a first foal out of an un-raced Snitzel mare Genie, but with method to the pedigree review, we were delighted to secure him for the bargain price-point of $36,000.  Buyers can shy away from first foals, however, of note we carefully selected Dubai Focus at the 2023 Adelaide Yearling Sale as an impressive first foal of his dam based on type and pedigree.  The colt now has a perfect 2 wins from 2 starts next to his name.

This colt has had a seamless first preparation at Angaston Park, recently undergoing his breaking in on site with Tom Willoughby. Some of you were lucky enough to see his education in action at our recent Angaston Park tour.  His attitude to learn really impressed Tom and we are looking forward to getting him back in for his next preparation.
