Aaron Bain Racing stable favourite Ideal World continues to be a Queensland ‘teller machine” for
connections.
At Albion Park on Saturday night, Ideal World showed his customary gate speed to lead throughout
in the Welcome To The Creek Veterans Pace (1660m).
Backed from $3 into $2.25 favourite, the eight-year-old, trained and driven by Narissa McMullen,
scored by 1.9 metres from Handsome Hero ($12) with Shortys Mate ($4.80) 1.8 metres away third.
Since heading to Queensland midway through last year, Ideal World has won four races with seven
seconds and a third collecting more than $42,000 in stakemoney. Overall, he has won $159,607 in
stakes.
Aaron Bain, principal of Aaron Bain Racing, said the Albion Park programs suited his star.
“The 1660 metre races are perfect for him,” Bain said.
“With his good gate speed, he can always go forward and give himself every chance.
“Narissa has him going really well.
“He had run three excellent seconds before Saturday night.”
Ideal World rated a very quick 1:52.4 in victory.
He rated a quick 27.6 second first quarter but was able to back off for a comfortable 30 second next
200 metres.
McMullen sprinted him then for 27.2 and 27.8 second final quarters and it was enough to win.
Bain said Ideal World would continue to be placed to advantage to build his record.
